The Cooper Associates County Ground

Situated in the centre of Taunton, The Cooper Associates County Ground is the home of Somerset County Cricket Club. Originally constructed in 1881, The Cooper Associates County Ground has not only been home to Somerset County Cricket Club, the first ever international team played at the ground in 1882 when Australia first came to town. With further developments to the ground in 2010 and 2015 and the addition of the floodlights in 2019 that have changed the Taunton skyline, The Cooper Associates County Ground now hosts regular international fixtures, with both the mens and woman’s England teams as well as World Cup matches being held at the First Class County Clubs ground.   It’s not only cricket that has found its home here, until the 1970s Greyhound Racing was also held at the ground!

360 South West were first contact by the Marketing team at Somerset County Cricket Club after hearing an interview that we did with Taunton based radio station, Tone FM. They were impressed with what they had found out by listening and wanted to talk to us to discuss creating a tour of the Cooper Associates County Ground for them. We originally created the imagery for the tour just before the Cricket World Cup came to Taunton in 2019, just after the floodlights had been installed. The tour was originally designed around the branding of the Somerset County Cricket Club website but in November 2022 the club launched a new website, dedicated to hospitality and venue hire with a new blue colour scheme. We designed a new version of the tour which is embedded into the new website to work inline with the new branding.

Users can have a look all around the ground and explore areas that are not normally open to the public. With a side loading menu, users can easily navigate around the ground by clicking the navigational arrows, or the areas within the menu.
